Clinicians Ceremony Guest Information
Entry and seating

Doors open at 10:00 a.m. for guest seating.

Guests will enter through the main doors to the theater on Brooklyn Street.

Guest tickets will be distributed upon arrival at the theater.

Guest seating is open and available on a first-come first serve basis. Seats may not be saved. Please have everyone in your party arrive at the same time.

Guests (other than your Coater) are not allowed in the student/coater seating area.

All guests should be seated 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

To ensure the highest level of safety and security, all guests are subject to a security screening upon entering. All persons and bags entering will be subject to inspection.

ALL BAGS and PURSES are limited in size to a maximum of 5” x 8” x 2”. Exceptions to this policy include bags needed due to medical necessity or care including diaper bags, breast pumps and other medical devices. Medical bags must measure smaller than 14" x 14" x 6".
Prohibited items and Venue Policies
The following items are not permitted in the Sound Board Theater. This policy is strictly enforced.

Recording devices of any type, including video and audio

Professional camera lenses

Weapons or restraining devices of any type

Outside food or beverage

Laser pointers

Any other item deemed unsafe by venue personnel
The Sound Board Theater reserves the right to expand or modify the list of prohibited items at any time.
Valid photo identification required upon request. All guests are subject to search, including purses and bags, and must pass through, a metal detection device. Sound Board and the surrounding restaurant areas are non-smoking unless designated otherwise for specific events.
Wheelchair/mobility limitation seating
The Sound Board provides wheelchair and companion seating for guests who need assistance. Guests arriving with their own wheelchairs will need to approach an usher to request an escort to the special needs seating area.
Every effort will be made to try and seat all guests together; however, disability seating is limited and, due to space constraints, it may be necessary that only one escort may accompany the guest to the special seating area.
Elevators are in the Lobby on the Brooklyn Street side of the building.
Customers needing Special Seating Arrangements should contact the Box Office prior to the event. You can contact the accessible seating hotline by calling (313) 309-4614.
Restrooms
Restrooms are located outside of the theater and are wheelchair accessible.
Lost and found
Lost & Found is located in the Motor City Casino Security Office. Please see an usher if you have misplaced an article, or call the Box Office at (313) 309-4700. Items will be held in Lost & Found for 30 days.
